Start ride in the city to the South Kuching City Hall – administering half of the city when the municipality was elevated to city status on August 1st, 1988. Continue to the second link bridge to Petra Jaya and cross the Sarawak River to the Malay villages lining the bank. Visit a school at the village and experience the bustle of the village. Continue to Fort Margherita built in 1876 and named after Renee Margaret, the wife of Sarawak’s second white rajah Charles Brooke and the Orchid Garden before cycling back to city.
